DancExcel was established in 2012 by Emma and since then it has grown and developed beyond her wildest dreams. Emma has been dancing since the age of 3 years old and trained for over 20 years at Helen Young School of Dance in Paisley and is a fully qualified member of the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD). She gained her first professional teaching qualification aged just 17 years old in Stage. She then continued to train in Modern Dance and Ballet achieving her professional teaching qualification in Modern Dance aged 19 years old and her professional teaching qualification in Ballet aged 21 years old. She then gained experience in teaching at Dance 'n' Stage Academy for 8 years before founding DancExcel. Throughout her dance career, Emma has had vast experience of performing in various theatres and pantomimes. It has always been Emma's vision to have her own dance school where she can train her own dancers in a fun and friendly environment. The satisfaction she gets from seeing her dancers all progress and thrive in their performance is second to none and she feels very blessed to be doing what she loves!

Coach Dael

Dael has been dancing since the young age of 2 years old. In 2008 she gained a place at Reid Kerr College and there she trained for 3 years in Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary Dance, achieving her HND Dance Artist qualification. After this, Dael auditioned for Newcastle College gaining a place on the Contemporary Dance course training in Contemporary and Ballet. She graduated with her BA (Hons) degree in Contemporary Dance. In 2015 Dael gained her BATD qualification in Freestyle Dance and she is a member of the BATD. Dael started coaching in 2012 as DancExcel's Assistant Head Coach in Erskine and in 2016 Dael was promoted to Head Dance Coach in Erskine and now manages DancExcel Glasgow. Dael is dedicated and committed to ensuring DancExcel Glasgow gains similar successes to DancExcel Erskine.

Coach Thomas
HND Dance Artistry
​
Since achieving his HND in Dance Artistry, Thomas has had the privilege of experiencing dance in all its forms, however, for Thomas teaching dance is by far the most fulfilling part of being a dancer. Thomas coaches within our Glasgow branch and loves working with our students not just on their technique but also on their performance skills. Thomas says that DancExcel is an amazing family that he feels privileged to be part of.

Coach Jennifer
BEdMus (Hons)

Coach Jennifer graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2015 with a Bachelor of Education in Music where she studied voice with Marilyn J Smith MBE. Jennifer now works as a secondary school music teacher. She has appeared in numerous theatrical productions in Glasgow, including RENT (Glasgow Live Productions), Anything Goes (EROS), Sweeney Todd (Glasgow Music Theatre), and Little Women: The Musical (Mad Props Theatre). Jennifer coaches our Junior and Intermediate Musical Theatre classes.
Coach Amy
ABATD Freestyle

Coach Amy has been a dancer in DancExcel since day 1! She has worked her way up through her BATD exams and qualified with her Associate BATD Freestyle teaching qualification in 2018. Amy coaches Junior classes in Erskine and also coaches in DancExcel Glasgow classes. Amy is thrilled to now be on the coaching team in the school she trained in herself.
Coach Holly
USASF Level 1 Cheerleading
USASF Level 2 Cheerleading

Coach Holly has been coaching Gymnastics and Cheer Stunt classes with DancExcel for 2 1/2 years. She has recently competed at the Cheerleading World Championships and with her team placed 7th in the world! Holly is qualified in USASF Level 1 and 2 cheerleading (gymnastics).
